Account
Executive
Brad Resler, our new Account Executive, has had a rapid introduction
to his new job and the student loan industry. His first few days
at work were spent at the COHEAO conference in Washington, DC,
which was held in late January. While at the conference, Brad
was able to meet several of our customers and other members of
COHEAO. Although he had heard about the threat to Perkins funding
while interviewing for the Account Executive position, he learned
just how critical the situation was at the conference. Some people
might have been very discouraged to start a new job under these
circumstances, but Brad was ready to fight for the Perkins Loan
Program. He immediately contacted his congressman to discuss the
situation and has been very involved in our company’s advocacy
efforts.
Since the COHEAO conference, Brad has been traveling non-stop
across the country, making the rounds of conferences and visiting
customers and prospects. One of his goals is to increase the visibility
of Campus Partners in the marketplace, and with trips planned
to conferences sponsored by EARMA, PDG, Ohio Bursars, CAASLAR,
UASLA, and other professional groups, he should accomplish just
that very soon. He wants to tell the “Campus Partners”
story to current customers and prospects and let them know what
differentiates our company from others. To Brad, a big part of
the Campus Partners story is its owners, who have unmatched experience
in the student loan industry. “They are providing a solid
foundation on which we can grow our business. The senior management
is willing to commit the capital and energy it will take to meet
our customers’ needs,” Brad said.
To Brad, the Campus Partners story also includes the many employees
here who have made student loan processing their life’s
work. “People here really care about the well-being of our
customers,” Brad related. He feels that their knowledge
of student loans and commitment to customers are more than just
nice attributes-they translate into making a difference in the
school’s bottom line. Our goal is for every dollar a school
invests in us to be multiplied many times in collections and savings,
” Brad continued.
Brad is also impressed with the company’s understanding
of student loans from the customer’s viewpoint. “Mark
Olson, our EVP, Sales and Marketing spent nearly half of his 27
year career as a financial services executive at the University
of California and Columbia,” Brad explained. He is also
impressed with the company’s renewed customer-centric focus
and is making it his mission to ask customers questions about
what tools they need to make their jobs more efficient. “I
am very excited to come to an organization that is driven by what’s
best for their customers, and is committed to developing solutions
that meet their needs in an ever-changing environment,”
Brad stated.
Before joining the organization, Brad spent seven years in sales
and marketing management positions with Gilbarco Inc., a leading
manufacturer of retail petroleum dispensing systems and payment
devices. Brad returned to his education-based roots by joining
the Campus Partners team, as he earned an undergraduate degree
from Purdue University in Education, taught in a public high school,
and later worked at Northwestern University as an Assistant to
the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. He is currently
in pursuit of his Masters of Business Administration degree from
the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. “The opportunity
to remain in sales and return to my educational roots is a wonderful
opportunity that I feel was tailor-made for me, Brad stated.
Brad and his wife, Dana, have two young children—Leah, age
two and a half, and Ben, who will turn one in May. Brad serves
as an elder at his church, and chairs its outreach committee.
He has gone on four mission trips to Mexico to help build houses.
In addition, he finds time to run because it is an activity he
can easily engage in while traveling, and looks forward to running
a marathon in the future. During football season, he enjoys cheering
for the Purdue Boilermakers. With all of Campus Partners’
campus connections, Brad will have to be cheering for about 500—and
counting—more college teams next fall. With Campus Partners
poised for growth, Brad should enjoy a winning season soon.
